Montessori Country Day School Program
Monarch Dance Studio is happy to present the MCDS families with the following dance classes:
Preschool/Pre-K/K: Ballet & Tap Combo
Fridays 12:45 – 1:30 PM
$175 for new students (includes required dance attire, ballet & tap shoes & tote bag).
$150 for returning students.
This class will introduce the beginning steps of ballet and tap dance along with exercises to
promote muscle strength, flexibility and creative expression. Brand new beginners and returning students welcome.
K/Elementary: Ballet & Tap Combo
Fridays 1:45 – 2:30 PM
$175 for new students (includes required dance attire, ballet & tap shoes & tote bag).
$150 for returning students.
This class will build upon the beginning steps of ballet and tap dance with more challenging skills along with exercises to promote muscle strength, flexibility and creative expression. Brand new beginners and returning students are welcome
The 9 Week session at MCDS begins March 23rd and ends June 1st.
SHOE & DANCE-WEAR FITTING DAY
Dancers who need to order the required dance dress and/or shoes will be fitted the week before classes begin (Friday, March 16th at 2:30 PM), so that items will arrive in time for the first class. Tuition must be paid in full before dance-wear or shoes will be ordered for your child. Sometimes items are back ordered and may not arrive immediately. Dancers joining the class late and those who are not able to attend the fitting will still get dance-wear and shoes - they will be fitted at their first class. In the event that your child's clothing or shoes are not immediately available, they will still participate in dance class wearing their sneakers and street clothing.
RECITAL - Friday June 1st
As our 9 week session comes to a close, our dancers will perform a small Recital for their friends and families.
Each student will be asked to bring in clothing for their costume (more details will follow). Your Student's recital will be held at the time of their regular classes. We will send home a reminder the week before the recital, and an email a few days before, but please mark your calendars so you can be there! We also offer a snack after the performance for our dancers. If your child has a food allergy, please be sure to note that on your registration form, or mention it to Miss Jericho or one of your child's MCDS teachers so we are sure everyone has a safe and fun experience!
Other Information

Classes will be held in the large multi purpose room at the MCDS Gouglersville location.

Dance classes will be held each Friday and will follow the MCDS school calendar and weather closings.

Dancers are required to wear their provided uniform each week. Long hair must be worn in a ponytail, short hair styles should be secured back from the face with a headband or barrettes.

Students will be assisted (by MCDS teachers) if they need help dressing for class, and back into street clothing after class.

Registration forms are not processed without payment in full.

Dance-wear and Shoes will not be ordered (even if your child was fitted) if tuition has not been paid in full.

Tuition checks should be made out to "MONARCH DANCE STUDIO."

Dancers must be fitted for shoes the week prior to the start of the session (on Friday, September 15th at 2:30 PM) in order for their dance shoes to be ready for the first day of classes. Sometimes items may be on back order and not immediately available.

Dancers are expected to participate and treat others with respect. Behavior that is disruptive or dangerous to others will result in dismissal from the program without refund.

Parents are responsible for the timely pick up and drop off of students. Dancers who are dropped off more than 15 minutes early, or who are not picked up promptly at the end of class will be placed in the MCDS daycare program and all applicable fees will be charged to the parent as per the MCDS policy.

2 week written notice is required for cancellation of participation in classes. Refunds for remaining un-used tuition will be calculated based on 2 weeks after a Monarch Dance Studio staff memeber has received the written notice. Refunds will be in check form, mailed to the address on the registration form, in full less a 10% processing fee, post marked no later than 30 days from the receipt of written notice. The cost of dancewear items and accessories ordered will not be refunded or returned.
